We are proud to present you the first part of our compilation series "MUTING THA SCENE (Part 1)". The artwork reminds not only by chance of the unforgettable series of Wordsound - "CROOKLYN DUB CONSORTIUM". Of course, it is a homage and allusion to it, and in addition, it is an aesthetic and musical continuation of our vinyl release ÉMINENCE GRISE by SPECTRE THA ILL SAINT [LOWHOP066]. That's why it's not hard to explain that the first part of our series is opened by SPECTRE THA ILL SAINT with the exclusive and already timeless track "Gratitude". Besides SPECTRE we may also present another musician - who should be known to all who have been involved with WORDSOUND or DUBHOP. DJ KLOS, the Brazilian-born musician and media artist, who meanwhile has his center of life in Lisbon, is represented with two tracks. Also present: Japan-born musician TAIKI OZAWA, South Africa and Europe-based duo AFRICA PRIME, the mysterious XYZ & THE ICOSAEON, Austria-born and versatile THE 012, MACELLO BASSTROJANI the Austrian with Japanese roots, CHAITUNE also from Japan, and the mighty ANATOMY OF THE HEADS – who enchant us from the dense jungles of Indonesia with a peculiar and unique blend of cult rock. We hope you all enjoy this compilation as much as we do and this much is revealed, there will be a second part – so stay tuned ...
